Wayne Smith, founder and president of Reach Capabilities, draws on his 30 years of financial services and retail sales experience to deliver superior results. From 1997 to 2007, Wayne was a District Vice President with TD Bank Financial Group, responsible for sales and service delivery in several specialized markets, including in-store banking and the retail mall branch strategy. He was also a key team member on the TD Canada Trust brand re-design. In his last years with the bank, Wayne led a three-year, 19-branch “test and learn” laboratory, drawing on his extensive change management experience to discover new methods for improving the customer experience, employee engagement, and profitable growth.
Previously, Wayne held a variety of leadership positions with Sears Canada Inc., managing teams within the full line department stores, the Toronto national parts and service centre, and the national telemarketing call centre. As general manager of retail operations in Ontario, Wayne led the largest of seven regional teams through extensive growth and change.
